Your First Visit

For your first visit, please arrive a few minutes prior to your appointment time to complete paperwork.  There is a one-time additional fee of $10 for your initial paperwork and orientation.  We accept cash, checks and credit cards.

If you would like to fill out your paperwork ahead of time, you can download the forms here:

- Health History

- Consent to Treat

On your first visit you will receive a private consultation, where your Acupuncturist will review your health history form and discuss your health concerns and objectives with you.  A Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) assessment will be done which includes taking your pulse, looking at your tongue and asking a few questions to help us decide on the right course of treatment.  The number of treatments necessary will depend upon your condition and your general health. Next you will be shown into the treatment room to receive your acupuncture treatment.

Please eat about one hour before your treatment, and refrain from any strenuous exercise for about one hour after your treatment.  Wear loose, comfortable clothing and please turn off your cell phone before entering the clinic.  Please allow approximately one hour for your first visit.

Community Acupuncture Returning Patients

On your return visit, simply check in, go into the treatment room and choose a recliner.  When you are comfortable in your recliner, your Acupuncturist will come over to briefly discuss with you any changes in your symptoms.  They will check your pulse and tongue and your acupuncture treatment will begin.

You will relax with your needles in for anywhere from 25 minutes to an hour (45 minutes is recommended).

The soothing atmosphere in a community clinic exists because patients create it by relaxing together.  This kind of collective stillness is a rare and precious thing in our busy world.  Please help us to maintain that by speaking in whispers and refrain from socializing while in the room.

Cancellation Policy

If you find it necessary to cancel or change an appointment, please allow at least 12 hours prior notice.  There is a $20 fee for appointments cancelled or rescheduled without 12 hour prior notice.  Thank you for your understanding.
